The Hon. Dr Francis Zammit Dimech has obtained his Doctorate in Law in 1979 and later graduated as Master of Arts in Financial Services in 1999. Then in 2013 he received his M.B.A. degree from the Henley Business School (University of Reading, UK).  At present, he is reading for a Ph.D. degree with the University of Malta.

On the political front, Francis Zammit Dimech was elected to Parliament in 1987 and in all subsequent general elections. He has held Ministerial appointments for sixteen years, including responsibility for capital projects, tourism and culture as well as Foreign and European Affairs.

At present he is a Member of Parliament’s Foreign and European Affairs Committee as is the Opposition spokesperson for Immigration.

He carries vast experience with regard to dealing with different Government entities and other public authorities and offers the required expertise to assist clients who are interested in participating in public-private projects in their negotiations with such entities, as well as in having the appropriate organisational structure that would be required for the project in question.

Moreover, he serves as non executive Director on a number of companies as part of acting as a company services provider, in particular in companies in different areas of financial services in line with his specialisation. He has also been accepted by the Malta Financial Services Authority to serve as MLRO.

Dr Zammit Dimech is also a Senior Visiting Lecturer in the Law of Broadcasting and European Media Law at the University of Malta.

On the management front, Dr Zammit Dimech lectures regularly at the Henley Business School on Reputation, Responsibility and Corporate Governance.
